Building Peaceful Families is a non-profit organization "dedicated to improving the health, safety and well being of children". In conjunction with the San Francisco 49ers and the Santa Clara County Board of Education, Building Peaceful Families is holding their annual top dads essay contest for children ages 5-17. Participants are encouraged to write a short essay about why their father, or father figure, is a great role model.
According to an article in the Sunnyvale Sun, "Fifty winning essays will be chosen, with the fathers and children invited to attend a special luncheon in June to receive their awards. All essays must be received by April 22nd."
