Math, Meaning, and Mystery

In The Community

In this Cherry Chase PTA/Math Puzzler Group-sponsored Parent Education event,
“Math, Meaning, and Mystery”, Theodore Timpson describes mathematics as a
process of creative problem solving. Children of any math skill level can learn
to reason, question, and persist when the path is unclear. They find a new sense
of curiosity and accomplishment from thinking like real mathematicians. Mr.
Timpson, an experienced elementary teacher, will discuss ways for parents to
help their children move beyond the mechanical calculations of math and expose
them to a new mathematical world of creativity and ingenuity.

Join him in the Cherry Chase Library on Wednesday, February 27th at 7 pm. Questions? Please
contact Bridget Watson at 408-540-8598 or parislitwit@gmail.com.
