If you don't already know, this is an incredible trip for our middle schooler's- one that two of our sons have said was the highlight of their time at CMS.
The school district has implemented a new ruling that school trips can only be done "by donation", which means that unless all parents pull together and "donate", the trip won't happen(so the terminology is a bit misleading).
If you are a parent of a child at WVS, this will be effecting you in years to come- you will be in the same situation unless word is spread across the community that we need to work together and convince parents that funding this trip is our responsibility. If you know of any 8th grade parents who somehow think that the school will be covering expenses, please inform them.
If you are a parent of a child at CMS, we hope that you'll help out, for your own children's sake.
And if you are a parent of a child at HHS, and your children have benefited from the Yosemite trip, could you please spread the word to younger families who have children in the middle school that this trip is very worthwhile?
We, as 8th grade parents, are crossing our fingers that this event will happen for our children. They all deserve it.
