Additional information:
City officials have been meeting with CUSD and there is a compromise solution being discussed.  Jim Griffith, Vice Mayor, has requested a neighborhood meeting to discuss the proposal.  This is most likely going to City Council vote on June 11 and we are being asked for our input before the vote.  Please attend and hear the proposal and engage in an open discussion with the city moving forward.

Some background for those who don't already know. CUSD proposes expanding Cupertino Middle to accommodate a growing student population. Like most schools in Sunnyvale, Cup's open space & fields are part of a shared-use agreement with SunnyvaleThis benefits the school by providing revenue, and the City by providing park space.  Expanding the school will reduce park space at this location

Some neighbors showed up for the council meeting, and S'vale voted against the project as it stands. CUSD is considering leaving the shared-use agreement altogether in order to move forward.
