A recent article in the Sunnyvale Sun, reported on a way you can get involved in our community and help a child learn to read (and really enjoy it!). The Reading Partners program became active in four Sunnyvale Elementary schools this past year. Volunteers work with children (one-on-one) twice a week for 45 minutes. The organization estimates that with the help of these volunteers a student can gain 1.6 months of reading skills for every month of tutoring.
