*Help with homework without interfering in the learning process.
*Recognize burn out, improve student engagement, know when to push and when to pull back in a competitive environment.

Senior lecturer at the Stanford University School of Education, Denise Pope specializes in student engagement, curriculum studies, qualitative research methods, and service learning.

Her book, "Doing School": How We Are Creating a Generation of Stressed Out, Materialistic, and Miseducated Students (Yale University Press, 2001) received the Notable Book in Education by the American School Board Journal, 2001. Also, Denise Pope was featured in the movie, "Race to Nowhere."

This Parent Education Night event is sponsored and funded by the PTA of all SUSD schools (Argonaut, Foothill, Saratoga and Redwood).
