The Miller PTA presents a FREE and UNIQUE

Parent Education engagement on

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7th @ 7:00-9:00 PM

Miller Multi-Purpose Room

*REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

Guest Speaker: Erin Walsh, M.A.

Join Ms. Walsh LIVE through an interactive HD video conference!

Speaking with us through an interactive HD video conference will be Erin Walsh, M.A., a dynamic, knowledgeable speaker who has addressed a wide range of audiences on topics related to brain development and raising resilient young people in the digital age. She is passionate about integrating digital technologies into instructional strategies and curriculum in ways that help young people build bridges between the virtual and real worlds.

Does your child communicate more through texting, iChat, YouTube, Facebook, email, etc. rather than in person or on the phone? Has your child reduced the amount of time spent interacting in personal conversations? Has your child developed poor language skills due to digital communication?

In this presentation, you will learn:

  • How parents can monitor their child’s development on the Internet
  • How your child can use social media as an effective means of communication rather than a substitute for in-person verbal communication
  • How parents can guide their child on Internet use in a positive manner

To learn more about Erin Walsh and Mind Positive Parenting, visit at www.drdavewalsh.com.

We will have adult supervision available for children ages 3-11 in the Miller library.

Light refreshments will be served.
